15 Years of KAUST Research

Welcome to the third KAUST Research Open Week, a milestone event celebrating 15 years of pioneering research at KAUST and our dedication to advancing the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s ambitious objectives. This anniversary not only honors our past achievements but also propels us into an era of accelerated impact for both the Kingdom and the world.

Our research efforts are deeply integrated within our community and align with KAUST's mission to enhance the well-being of both the Kingdom and the global population. As Saudi Arabia moves closer to achieving its Vision 2030 through reinforced national Research, Development, and Innovation (RDI) strategies, this event provides a pivotal platform to demonstrate our support for and contributions to the Kingdom’s RDI goals.

This year’s theme, “15 Years of KAUST Research,” reflects on our evolution from our modest beginnings along the Red Sea to becoming a leading research institution. We will highlight our advances in key areas such as Health and Wellness, Sustainable Environment & Supply of Essential Needs, Energy and Industrial Leadership, and Future of the Economies. These topics will be covered in comprehensive sessions that offer insights from both KAUST’s top researchers and prominent international experts, discussions that recognize our past achievements and will shape future directions to meet our national and global aspirations.

We cordially invite you to join us from May 5 to May 7, 2024, here at KAUST, to discover and commemorate the profound impact of 15 years of research excellence. Together, let us reflect on our history, envision the future, and continue to drive innovation for the betterment of our community and beyond.
